10.06.08 [4:37 pm] - Update to site

The site has a new layout! YAY! It uses several of the pictures that I took on my trip. Other pictures will be appearing in the gallery within the next few months. I took over 1000 pictures within my first week in Japan, so you can imagine how many pictures I have to upload! I also have a few videos that I hope to get uploaded as well. Keep watch for those. I've updated the activities pages, as well as the contact pages. One of our activities is currently underway and going strong. Keep working hard everyone!

4.08.08 [12:00 pm] - Welcome to Natsu no Tabi!

Hello! My name is Tara Muchmore and I'm a 6th grade teacher at Sky Ranch Elementary in Moore, Oklahoma. In December 2007, I applied to the Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program for the chance to spend a few weeks learning in Japan. On March 22, 2008, I was notified that I was one of 200 teachers accepted from across the United States!

In June, I will be heading to Japan for 18 days of activities where I'll get to meet with government officials, teachers, tour schools, and learn about the Japanese culture. I am so excited! This site will be used to document my trip, including everything that I'm doing before I leave, while I'm there, and to post pictures and thoughts when I return. I hope you will enjoy the trip along with me!
